For a very long time I never appreciated tea, quite surprising considering that I grew up in a family of avid tea drinkers.
My choice of drink is always coffee and if it was a cup of tea it would only be green tea.
Every now and then would mix it up and have English breakfast or Chamomile tea, but more often than not, I would stick to my coffee. And that was the extent of my tea drinking experience.
That was till I came across French Earl Grey. I really like French Earl Grey, it has a fantastic floral scent and very smooth flavours – hints of sweetness and not overly bitter.
I think the first time I had it was at High Tea.
I recall reading the tea list and just I couldn’t go past a tea with the word French in it.
At the time did I know what kind of a tea Earl Grey was ? Absolute no idea! But I’m pretty sure the word “French” had stars and sparkles all around it. Haha
Thankfully French Early Grey is a beautiful blend of tea or else I’m sure I would have been put off experimenting with tea for the rest of my life and I would be forever known as the girl who only ever has coffee at High Tea.
