The latest team up of Hello Kitty Sanrio and Swarovski is one of my favourite collaborations to date!
Hello Kitty was introduced in 1974 and have captured the hearts of many since – me included! Under the artistic direction of Nathalie Colin, Swarovski’s enthusiastic design team have created a fresh and unique collection capturing Hello Kitty’s signature style – her bow, apple, flowers and her companion the bear.
The new collection is now available online and in stores, consists of pieces of jewelry, charms, accessories, and figurines. Of the entire collection I have my lemmings on the 3 irresistible figurines!

For the more dedicated Hello Kitty fans and collectors, there is a limited edition Hello Kitty featuring almost 20,000 crystals, all applied by hand using Swarovski’s signature technique. Lemming for one? Get your hands on one quick, as only 88 have been made world wide, with engraved individual edition numbers!

“She’s just a nice, cute, adorable character,” said Swarovski CEO Robert Buchbauer. ”She’s just a symbol of happiness, and I think it’s very important these days to transmit some positive messages to the people, and I think Hello Kitty is perfect in order to do so.”
The exhibition was a Hello Kitty fun house and allowed visitors to buy pieces from the new Swarovski colleciton.
The event was opened from June 30 – July 10 and 9 of the special figurines designed by Japanese celebrities and artists exhibited were auctioned and donated to the Japanese Red Cross.
