Shall we all sit and lust over my cute little box from the latest collaboration between Ladurée and Lanvin.

The limited-edition Lanvin x Ladurée macaron box designs were launched in late Sept, timed perfectly for Fashion Week. But better late than never, these special macaron box sets finally arrived at the Sydney Ladurée store.

The boxes are adorned with adorable Lanvin signature childlike illustrations by Alber Elbaz. Just a perfect match of Fashion, Fun and Food!

PFW Autumn/Winter 2012 Runway review

When we all thought a teary farewell by Raf Simons to the house of Jil Sander was too much to handle, Paris Fashion Week continued to rock the Autumn/Winter 2012-13 season with these top moments:

  • Stefano Pilati took his last bow at Yves Saint Laurent
  • Bill Gaytten continued to put on a fabulous show for Dior (but subsequently Raf Simon was announced to take over the reigns at Christian Dior)
  • Chanel introduced the concept of “browjazzle” –  adorned eyebrows with crystals, glitter and beads
  •  Miuccia Prada shows us how to suit-up fashionably
  • And of course, the roaring arrival of Louis Vuitton Express as it pulls onto an elaborate set at the Lourve – Marc Jacobs delivers once again.

In summary, Paris Fashion week ended the season with collections of ballet-inspired styles, ultra-feminine  and fairy tale elegance.

Fav looks of 2012 Academy Awards

84th annual Academy Awards Red Carpet Fashion

This year we saw lots of white, red and gold but my Best Dressed of the night goes to Michelle Williams!

This coral number is by Louis Vuitton – I love the ruffles, I love the bow on her waist and I love her pixie hair cut. This girl is doing no wrong when it comes to the red carpet – remember her 2006 Vera Wang gown? Wow!

Other gowns that got my tick of approval:

Jessica Chastain wearing a bespoke Alexander McQueen hand-embroidered dress.

Milla Jovovich wearing Elie Saab Couture.

Penélope Cruz wearing Giorgio Armani.

Cameron Diaz wearing Gucci Premiere.

Interesting Choices goes to:

Gwyneth Paltrow for channeling Princess Leia – I’m so glad she got rid of the cape but even if she didn’t, I forgive her as I can never offend a Tom Ford creation.

And Emma Stone – kudos for being so daring to wear a gown that resembles Nicole Kidman’s Oscar red carpet wow-moment in 2007. Who would’ve forgotten that scarlet Balenciaga with a huge bow at her neck? Nicole still gets my vote.

A moment to remember goes to :

Meryl Streep winning her 4th Oscar on her 17th nomination!!!! Congrats!!!

This little gold man has been long overdue. The last time was won an Oscar was 29 years ago for lead actress in Sophie’s Choice. In my opinion, she deserved an Oscar for every nom – yes even her nom for The Devils Wear Prada (I love that movie!).

An honorable mention goes to her eco-friendly Lanvin gown. This is  Lanvin’s first ever eco gown – made from Eco Certified Fabric as part of the Green Carpet Challenge.

“What The?” goes to:

Angelina Jolie’s awkward pose – Yes Ange – you didn’t have to pose like that on the red carpet, with Brad or on stage while presenting. Seriously….

And if you haven’t had enough of Ange’s Leg, you can follow it on twitter @AngiesRightLeg

One two three four, Uno dos tres quatro. I know you want me, you know I want cha.

As if Lanvin‘s Fall/Winter 2011-2012 fashion campaign couldn’t get any better – Photographs by Steven Meisel and a fashion campaign video featuring Karen Elson & Raquel Zimmermann dancing to Pitbull’s “I Know You Want Me”.

Be sure to keep an eye out for a cameo of the creative director of Lanvin, Alber Elbaz busting out some groove himself! Absolutely brilliant!!
