Crazy no?

The Collectives Westfield Sydney

Crazy for The Collectives? No.

But hundreds of girls were screaming for hours waiting for the boy band to arrive and I could hear them all the way in my office. Crazy huh?

Anyways, I was so sure that I was going to come home with a new bag today. When I saw the Oroton Family and Friends Sale* email, my eyes lit up – I could finally get my bags!!

Remember a while back I had my eyes on this one:

And this one ?

Nowadays, I refuse to purchase anything that’s full price, unless its something that I really really really love.

But since these bags are from Oroton, I knew a sale was just around the corner.

And I was right. The family and friends offer was 50% off!!

As I was unwell yesterday, the only thing that got me excited about work today was Thursday late night shopping.

I did my research online, clicking through oroton.com. Making sure the bags were still available instore or if there was something new.

However, somewhere along the lines, I’m not sure what happened to my thought process, I decided from getting both bags to only one.

I didn’t know which one to choose. Both bags were so different in style. Different in colour and completeley nothing like what I currently own.

I was so so so torn.

So I decided to let fate decide once again – If the bags were in store then it was meant to be.

After all the anticipation and scouting a total of three Oroton stores tonight, I managed to walk away empty handed.

Not because the bags were not in stock, but I just somehow just didn’t want the bags anymore.

Crazy no?

Thursday late night shopping adventures

1. It seems like my usual dinner on Thursday nights have come to be at Westfield food court and we usually order the same old usual. Depending on what I feel like I would go for a Mero Mero salad or Din Tai Fung’s delicious spicy prawn dumpling noodles.

2. Wondering around the centre and I couldn’t help but notice these killer boots that were almost the height of my body and had pockets!!

3. Next stop was Oroton. After doing a ‘stocktake’ on my bags, I realised that I don’t have a brown/tan bag. So this has on the list of things to buy  for spring and summer. I quite like these satchels from Oroton and in particular the tan one. But I’m still deciding and going to look for more options.

4. Make up Brushes – this was the original purpose of the shopping trip tonight. I needed to replace my brushes that I’ve had for the last 6 years.

These cute luxurious travel sized brushes from Chanel really did tempt me. But instead I bought a new brush set from Mecca Cosmetica.

The rest of the night ended up being a refill of my beauty and skincare necessities:

  • Dermalogica – Pre Cleanse and Daily Microfoliant
  • Body Shop – Tea Tree body wash
  • Mecca Cosmetica – Luxe Brush Collection
  • Nars – pressed powder

Purchases - dermalogica, Nars, Mecca and Body Shop

My Week via Photos

My limited activity in the blogosphere was a result of my hectic week at work. So had to put everything aside to catch up on my life and things like beauty sleep. *wink*

I did however manage to take some pics to keep up with my daily photos for #project365.

So here they are:

Adelaide

Early Monday morning – landed in Adelaide for a series of meetings.  The truth about travelling for work – early starts and late nights, it’s tiring and it’s not as glamorous as what it sounds.

Brekkie -PoachedEggs

Poached eggs on toast and some fresh fruit and yoghurt for brekkie on Tuesday.

Morning Coffee

Brekkie - Pastries Galore

Wednesday Brekkie was a little different – Pastries Galore!!!!

Up in the Air

Up in the Air – Going home is always the best feeling.

Din Tai Fung

Thursday night shopping adventure was a big fat fail – didn’t buy anything. Ended the night with a yummy bowl of spicy wonton  noodle soup from Din Tai Fung.

Ricotta Cheese cake

Friday night treat – Ricotta Cheesecake at Dolcissimo. Not my typical order for dessert but I was pleasantly surprised with the delicious mix of the fluffy light ricotta and sultanas.

Outfit of the Day ft Zara, Oroton and David Lawrence

My outfit to my dear friend’s wedding – dress by Zara, coat by David Lawrence, shoes by Oroton.

Ballast Point

Ballfast Point – where the wedding ceremony was held. Lovely views of the Sydney Harbour.

Outfit of the Day ft ASOS, J Crew and MulberryMy Sunday outfit featuring, white ASOS jeans, J.Crew cable knit and Mulberry Lily bag.

That’s it for my week. Hope everyone had a lovely one ;)

It’s been a while since I posted an outfit post, so here is a quick snap of my work ensemble:

Today I’m Wearing:

Black Patent Leather Pumps | Wardrobe Basics

Patent Leather Black Pumps

Photo of the Day: Black Patent Leather Pumps

Bought a new pair of Black Pumps from Oroton‘s private sale*. It was perfect timing as my previous pair from Tony Bianco have walked the distance and survived through many re-heels.

Black shoes are an essential to everyone’s wardrobe. For me my pair of black shoes wardrobe basics are a pair of patent leather black pumps.

The design of black pumps is simple yet classic, while still being sturdy and comfy. I prefer the shine of patent leather, more stylish compared to a soft leather finish.

It can be wore fashionably with a pair of jeans or for a professional look when teamed with a pencil skirt.

One day I will get myself a pair of black patent pumps from Christian Louboutin’s. After all Monsieur Louboutin believes that every well-dressed woman should have a “Simple Pump” in her closet.
